 Black-headed Ibis (Threskiornis melanocephalus)

Ranganathittu is a birder’s paradise. A perfect setting for honing ones bird in flight photography. Unfortunately, we reached there around noon and the glare from the lake was making it difficult to shoot close ups near the water surface. Since it is nesting season right now and these birds prefer community living, it was difficult to isolate individuals as well. Finally managed to click this one with the sky as the background.
